From memory I think this unit requires a pulse to turn on or off (bell push button). On a 2 gang switch you would therefore need a bell push and a normal switch. It would work with a normal switch but you would need to use it to generate a pulse. Not sure what happens if you leave a continuous live feed to it. **Q: Does this act as a router within the Zigbee network?** A: Not that I know of, stopped using mine it was too unreliable with Alexa **Q: Does the model require a switch?
