**Q: Is this item suitable for carpet laying?**
A: It is, but not reliable enough. It stopped working before I was halfway through fitting my living room carpet.I sent it back and bought the Stanley STA0TR250 Heavy Duty TR250 Staple Gun/Brad Nailer and then finished laying the living room, stair and upper hall carpets using 12mm staples without problem and that was stapling through 15mm carpet & 11mm underlay. I would suggest you read the reviews before purchasing this item as many people had the same issues I had. Hope this helps.

**Q: Is there no cordless version of this stapler, mine is misfiring a lot after 7ish years of use but would rater replace it with a cordless version,.**
A: Not of this stapler, Bosch do a cordless stapler - Bosch PTK 3.6v

**Q: Does it have a depth adjuster & will it cope with hardwood? If not could you please advise on reasonable cost appropriate electric nail gun please?**
A: Yes it does on the top you turn the wheel and it adjusts the power - is less + is more of course. It is best used with soft wood, beading, picture frames, upholstery etc. I've also used it on Fence posts stapling chicken wire on and it worked fine.

**Q: Suitable to pin 6mm MDF to a plasterboard wall?**
A: It would depend on size and the expected load   I would think that pinning into plasterboard would not normally be secure enough apart from attaching light decorations `
