Then after you iron it on to the fabric you peel off the paper and iron it on to the backing fabric. **Q: Has anyone used this for felt projects? I'm making a felt quiet book for my daughter and would really love to avoid all the sewing.** A: For a felt quiet book, I'd use a fabric glue, rather than an iron-on product. The thing about this product is once it is ironed on something it is clear. You may want to use another product for your project. This is very stiff when it is heat set on fabric. I use this product to make fabric bowls, because of it stiffness, it helps my bowls keep its shape. It can be used to make lamp shades. I fuse two pieces of fabric together then make my bowls. I don't think this product is used for projects like yours. You can go to Joanna's Fabric Store and find things to add trim to skirts like your doing. I do not sew clothing so I'm not really knowledgeable about doing things like your doing. I do know though that this product is for heavy duty fusing. It may be to stiff and keep your skirt from moving freely. So for me I would not use it for attaching lace to denim. Plus the glue on the fuse may leak through the lace. Then you have an iron to clean.
