This does the job perfectly for the small groups around my laptop that I wanted to use it for. It makes the whole experience a lot smoother and more productive,, without the constant 'I cant hear that person' comments, and everyone huddling closer to my laptop! Review: Not plug & play - I did not want to believe the other review saying that it comes without instructions and does not work and hoped that it will simply work by plugging into the microphone input on my MacBook and that would not need any instructions. But after plugging into the input it did not record any sound and remained silent. I also plugged it into a small mixer but the result was the same. I then tried with a PC Laptop but same result. There is a second socket on the device and I suspect that it may is to plug in an external phantom power supply to make it work but on the device itself I did not find any specifications indicated what kind of power (voltage, etc) it might need. The cable is quite long, sufficient for use in a courtroom. **Q: I want to attach this mic to camcorder that has 3.5mm jack but does not supply power. Will it work? Thanks.** A: It should work just fine. I use mine with a digital voice recorder without a powered jack. **Q: How exactly do you "daisy chain" these mics?** A: You can somehwat see it in the photo. Each mic, to the right of the cord that's sticking out there is a 3.5mm input plug for plugging in another mic. **Q: Will this work with a 2.5mm headphone/mic connection? Trying to connect to a Cisco SPA508G.** A: Well, I'd expect not, as the plug is 3.5mm, and your connector is only 2.5mm. You could buy an adapter so it would fit.
