The smell of baxter clay pomade is an earthy/hint of citrus smell while the separation wax doesn't really have a noticeable scent. It’s very firm in the jar but softens quickly in your hands and feels somewhere between a stiff paste and a wax.It works very easily into hair and sets almost instantly with a firm hold. The finish is strong and matte, and allows you to build height and thickness with ease. You can also restyle through the day without really losing much of the original hold or finish.It washes out very easily - I just use standard H&S shampoo, and Baxter clay pomade doesn’t leave hair feeling greasy or sticky after you wash it.The jar is very heavy and feels premium - I’m glad it glass from an environmental POV, but it does add weight to your travel luggage etc.Overall I’m really pleased with the product.
