The packaging of the bottle was quite damaged as well. Anyway not a good impression from the start.I will start with the positives. The bottle has quite a slim profile and the smooth stainless steel finish gives the sleek look. The artwork is quite fanciful too. The packaging is of the bottle is quite nice too with some fact on lion but it came damaged.Now the negatives. The item arrived damaged. Scratches on the surface of the bottle, damaged packaging and the "bamboo top" seems damaged (or badly manufactured?). The bottle DOES have metallic smell unless the smell is from the bamboo top in which case the description about it not retaining flavour should be reconsidered. And as its not listed on the item description, I will tell you that the bottle is made in China. Products made in China has become vastly improved compared to its past reputation but the reliability of the product is still a cause for concern. Perhaps the scratches on my bottle and the smell is from not so reliable production method?The bottle does not leak with a short test but I will expand on this review after using it for few days. But I suspect the silicon ring will be worn out over time and then there will be leakage.In all, looks nice but some concerns as to it can perform its basic functionality of water bottle!UPDATE: I have used this for over a year now. I never had a leakage and it doesnt contain flavour inside as described. So I am changing my stars to 4 from 3. I still take one off as it came slightly damaged (scratches) although as the comment suggests the sellers are happy to exchange but I saw that comment today (06/03/17) ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Hear me Roooooaaaaaar! *by M***L on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 12 December 2015* This item arrived dented (no damage to the box) so I assume it was damaged during manufacture or it may be ex display or used.However that said, it is a very well made bottle and does not leak.It appears to be made to a very high standard and will last a long time.It comes in a very nice presentation box.The neck is easily wide enough to accommodate my Steripen Ultra (which is why I brought this bottle) but makes it a bit dribbly if drinking straight from the bottle.All in all you can go to Tesco and buy a stainless steel water bottle for a fiver but you would not get the wide neck, carry handle pretty box or lion emblem (not etched onto the bottle so not sure how long it will last). The price tag might be more than you want to spend on a water bottle, but if you find yourself using one all the time and have a good track record of not losing them, this is worth the investment.Product does everything it promises: looks stylish, doesn't leak, keeps liquid cool (haven't tried hot yet), doesn't sweat, and maintains a comfortable temperature on it's exterior due to the double lining. I've had cold water in it for 3 hours so far, and it holds the temperature very well.The box mentions how the bamboo top resting on the cap helps insure that water wont leak out... I don't get how that helps at all, but it's an aesthetically pleasing touch non the less.
