Built-in pressure switch, it automatically turns on and off as you turn your tap on and off. With a built-in bypass function, the 55 series is able to reduce rapid cycling and not allow water to flow back from the outlet side to the inlet side of the pump. Comes with a filter and some adapters but after fitting the filter on the in side, the threading let me stick standard hose adapters (the nipple with the little thread reduction inset you get everywhere for pennies) on both ends making this super easy to install. Wish i'd bought this first: Now, i had one of those small cheap pumps with the single chamber and that plastic V front/top that claims silly PSI. It had small diameter fittings and was kind of a pain to adapt to a garden hose. It just about ran the hose enough to water the garden from my water butts. I bought one of those irrigation kits. Little pump could run 1 or 2 of the little sprinklers then basically gave up. The sealfow 55-series, however, smashed it. Better pressure than my mains. I was so happy to see all the little sprinklers belting out water like they were supposed to. This thing works great and has saved the project. The only issue is i used cheap tubing with the small pump and this pump sucks hard enough to pinch the cheap clear plastic hose and kill the flow. Gonna rework the project with sturdier standard garden hoses throughout. Also, in all this abuse, pinched flow, air in the system and my water butts coughing up a small tree worth of crap under the new hi-flow... the little filter with the pump caught it all and the pump handled it all nicely. Also, even when choking due to the cheap hose pinch it wasn't louder than the little pump its replacing. It's 12v and can draw up to 17amp so decent thickness wire, a sensible fuse recommended. Given it out performs my mains supply i expect this would do a great job of running water for a caravan or boat which is what I believe its intended for. It's a serious bit of kit and unlike the clones the specs advertised are accurate. Wish i'd spent the money straight off to get the proper kit. Review: 10/10 - Really good product.
