I have never had a problem with previous ones I owned and this new one is exactly the same. When it arrived I let it run for a while to heat off any chemicals left on from the manufacturing process and then used it myself. Very easy to clean after use. I watch the Tv while using the sauna and even thought my head is outside the sauna the amount of sweat coming off of my head causes my glasses to steam up, so it really does give a total body sweat session. I use it to sweat out metals from my body as steam saunas will not do this. The body sweat from infra red sauna use contains 15 - 20% toxins, whereas body sweat from steam saunas contain approx. 3% toxins.
