There are no backing discs that move from side to side (and won't stay in place) and there is no need to struggle to see the alignment of the blade by contorting yourself over the cutter in order to see the cutting line. **Q: Is this a good tool for cutting t shirts?**
A: If you mean cutting them up for rags, yes; if you mean cutting out T-shirts to sew, not so much. I don't like cutting curves with my rotary cutter, but I know people who do.

**Q: Received my rotary cutter today. why is the blade covered in so much oil?  how do i clean it so i can use it.**
A: It is normal to oil the rotary cutter.  Some might have coated the blade. Warm soapy water as it is sewing machine oil and wipe off several times with a cloth.  Several practice cuts on muslin should do the trick. Carefully remove the blade. Clean any lint build-up on the blade & the handle. Put a drop of sewing machine oil around the center of the blade before reassembling.

**Q: Does it come with an extra blade please?**
A: This only comes with 1 blade. You may buy extra replacement blades separately.

**Q: I build miniature log cabins. I need a rotary cutter that will cut through small pieces of wood . Is there one to be recommended?**
A: No, it is for fabric and will not cut wood. What I would recommend for you is a small Dremil. Not sure of the spelling, but it is a great hand held small tool that you can purchase multiple different attachments for all types of crafting and repairs.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works reasonably well with leather

I bought this primarily because I'm getting into leathercraft and a round-headed knife is just an extortionate amount of money, so this seemed like the next best thing. I've tried this on a reasonable thickness leather and thin leather. Thin leather it slices like a dream, thicker leather it does, but there are very rare times where parts didn't cut all the way so it needs a second run over the line. As for accuracy, it was what I had most trouble with. I used a set square for my line and pull straight back with the cutter and I don't think I'm like Shakin' Stevens - perhaps it is my inexperience - but occasionally the straight line will stray, needing to slice off minute shavings that weren't taken off the first time. Maybe an expert would do a better job than I did but I muddled through it. I'd say a good leather cutting tool for a beginner on a budget.
