Why would you need this type of aerial on a VM system, anyway as this is a cable system, not a terrestrial system? Regards **Q: on the mast but there are 4 grooves, inthe absence of any instructions, should there be 4 rings or which grooves should the 3 rings fit?** A: Mine came in 2 parts. A magnetic base and a “mast” which screwed to the base. There are 4 “grooved rings”, one at the top and three further down - there is nothing which attaches to these. I can only assume that you have a different model to me, sorry ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Small and Perfect *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 30 August 2026* Bought as a gift. What a fantastic aerial. It is small, compact and unscrews so will store away compactly when needed. Despite its size it is surprisingly weighty and feels well made. The magnet on it is more than capable of holding it on a vertical surface and the cable being around a metre is perfect for positioning. The signal strength is also really good, finding plenty of SD and HD channels easily.Installation is just plugging in to the aerial port on the tv, took seconds. Nothing fancy or complicated. Great value for money and highly rated. Perfect for small homes or campervan/motorhomes. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Small but mighty indoor aerial *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 2 October 2026* Excellent quality product. This small but mighty indoor aerial is easy to connect and works brilliantly. I bought two and, initially, I wasn’t expecting much because it was inexpensive and compact. However, I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how well it performs. I’ve had it for over two years now, and it’s still going strong. Highly recommended! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works for me, but beware no return policy! *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 4 December 2021* I took a chance on buying this on a Black Friday deal, despite numerous warnings of it not being returnable. I've never been able to get Freeview where I used to live, but used the Freeview website postcode checker first and it said I could get 45 channels. So I thought I'd give it a go.I live in an old house with thick walls, so thought I was taking a risk with such a little aerial (I don't have a main aerial, I only have Sky) but still, I plugged it into my bedroom TV and set it to auto scan. It took a few minutes, but 37 channels appeared and all crystal clear! Still, I was perplexed though - the website said 45 channels and I only got 37. I re-ran the tuning process several times but kept getting the same. Frustrating! Then I realised it was actually all the HD channels that were missing! Even more frustrating! And then, with a little bit of research, after holding the aerial responsible, I realised my 5 year old TV only has Freeview built in, not Freeview HD! DUH!!!! So it wasn't the aerials fault at all, despite the TV being capable of a HD picture (as in through Sky), it doesn't have a Freeview HD tuner, so simply cannot pick up the HD channels! I admit, I did feel a bit stupid! So to summarise - the little aerial is great! I've knocked off a star for the no return policy which I've NEVER seen before on Amazon Prime! It's quite shocking really and I don't understand and wonder if it's an error? There's absolutely no reason this should not be able to be returned. What I will say, is CHECK YOUR POSTCODE FOR THE CHANNELS YOU CAN RECEIVE FIRST! The website is there to help and is incredibly accurate. I tried the aerial on my newer TV and got all the HD channels as well, so indeed got the 45 channels promised. I believe in some areas it's possible to get over 100 Freeview channels! But not where I live. And that's ok because the website told me exactly which channels I would get, and hey, they're free!DON'T just expect to plug it in and be guaranteed channels, and don't expect to plug it in and for the channels to magically pop up without tuning your TV! I can't help but wonder if a lot of the negative reviews are due to user error? After all, I was blaming it for having no HD channels, and it wasn't the aerial at fault at all, it was me being thick!I'm really delighted with it, but please do check your areas service first because that no return policy is a kicker. I might even email the seller about that because I'm sure it can't be right? Can it? ## Frequently Bought Together - High Gain Freeview TV Aerial -August DTA240 - HD Portable Indoor/Outdoor Digital HD Antenna for USB TV Tuner / DVB-T Television / DAB Radio / SD / 4K - With Magnetic Base [Black] - Toshiba 24WF2F53DB 24 Inch HD Ready Smart TV, TRU Resolution, TRU Micro Dimming, HDR10, Dolby Audio - Mounting Dream TV Wall Bracket Mount for Most 10-26 inch TVs and Monitors with VESA 50x50mm, 75x75mm and 100x100mm up to 15 KG, Monitor Wall Mount Bracket Swivels, Tilts, 360° Rotates MD2463-02 --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/47916771-dta240b-portable-indoor-tv-aerial-with-magnetic-base-and-high](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/47916771-dta240b-portable-indoor-tv-aerial-with-magnetic-base-and-high) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-15*
