**Q: Will it hold 400g balls?**
A: I am afraid the 400g ball of yarn is too big dor this yarn holder...these yarn holders are good for 50-100g yarn balls.

**Q: Does the ball actually spin freely as it unwinds?**
A: Yes, the only problem I had was that the spinner slipped off of the table I stood it on, but I glued a piece of non-slip on the bottom and it worked perfectly.  ph

**Q: Would this allow me to use balls of wool with a knitting machine rather than a cone?**
A: I should think so.  The yarn fits on the top over the spindle and the yarn is taken upwards from the outside of the ball.

**Q: How long is the spindle?**
A: THE spindle is 5” long. Keeps falling over though when you use it. Does not matter what size of ball of wool you use.
