Whatever you think of Sony’s battery choices (the np-fw50 does seem like an under-performer for serious shooting/video and the more recent higher capacity upgrades Sony has made on newer cameras, should have been made much sooner in my opinion), If you are looking for one of these, this is the one to get. -reliability -charge retention -build quality -piece of mind -lifespan You could get several cheaper batteries, but in my experience- none of them touch the Sony ones on the above points.
