(Karate and Kobudo) I've spent more money than 99% of the martial artists you know on my personal uniforms experimenting with sizes and understanding how companies do this to help suggest sizes and brands to my students (and Amazon shoppers) Just opened it but I think I like this hakama as it appears to be a good value. It has hanger hooks, and a plastic tab for tucking under your belt to keep it secured (if you wear a belt under your hakama). This black one has a satin-ish sheen. I bought 2 sizes. 1 for what I expected would fit me and the other because it was suggested in the size chart and by Amazon. I am 5'10" and 200lbs. Do you want to guess what size hakama fits me? Wrong, lol. I fit the "small" hakama. It's important to find a measurement you find most important and deal with or alter the rest if need be. In my opinion, the length of the hakama is the only important measurement, for most people. Since your upper-body is supposed to be irrelevant but can still dictate the size you choose on the chart...
