I make what I call a 'power smoothie' with banana, maca, cacao powder, ground flax seeds, coconut oil, ground sesame seeds, organic yogurt and whatever else I may feel inspired to add! One thing you should know is not to heat it up otherwise it will lose it's beneficial effects. You can't go wrong really. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Give it a try *by R***T on 16 January 2016* This is interesting, I'm just in the peri-menopausal stage and I was starting to get hot flushes - I thought at first it was happening when I was wearing a fleece. Anyway, I was definitely beginning to get them and then I was in a health food shop and began chatting to this girl at the Maca powder shelf who happened to be a herbalist and she recommended it - I came and bought at Amazon and started putting it in my cereal. However, the taste is not good - yuksville. I started making smoothies and added a large spoonful to them - great! I couldn't taste it at all and got into the habit. After a few weeks I realised that gradually my hot flush symptoms were reducing and after a little while further, I hadn't got them at all. I stopped taking it and in fact I've not had any symptoms since. I appreciate that this might not happen for everyone but it is worth a try if you're suffering. I think it also gives you energy (but that might be the effect of drinking a fruit/veg smoothie every morning).
