## Description

The Brother 1034D serger features a 3/4 lay-in thread system with lower looper threader.Stitch options include 4 thread overlock 3 thread overlock narrow hem rolled hem and ribbon lock stitches.Additionally you can sew blind hem pin tuck and flat lock stitches by purchasing optional presser feet.The machine has a free arm/flat bed convertible sewing surface.The 1034D also offers a F.A.S.T. lower looper threading system for easy thread changes.The differential feed improves sewing results on stretch or thin fabrics to give you a perfect finish. Snap-on presser feet allow quick and easy changes to transition to each desired stitch. This machine does not conform to International electronic codes. Warranty is voided outside the US.

It comes with a very clear operating manual which covers all the important points and, even better, a DVD which actually demonstrates how it all works. Early days for me, but so far, I have managed to successfully accomplish basic sewing and have easily rethreaded the machine. It has a lot of features which are going to be very useful as I gain experience. I am not currently using it to its full potential, but that is down to my limitations, not those of the machine. A: Hi, as most overlooked the pedal controls the machine, I'm a professional seamstress and use my machine every day. The pedal is tour control all the way. Excellent control with this machine! Best ever control though as as soon as your done your piece of work just lift your foot and your done. Hope this helps. Sharon.

After researching overlockers on line, this model got the best rating overall for people just starting out with overlockers. I can't claim any great expertise, but this is a great machine. It is simple to operate and, most importantly, to thread, as this seems to be the biggest problem most people have. It comes with a very clear operating manual which covers all the important points and, even better, a DVD which actually demonstrates how it all works. Early days for me, but so far, I have managed to successfully accomplish basic sewing and have easily rethreaded the machine. It has a lot of features which are going to be very useful as I gain experience. I am not currently using it to its full potential, but that is down to my limitations, not those of the machine. I would recommend this overlocker to anyone who wants a foolproof basic machine.

Seems a good quality overlocker although I've only been practising on spare fabric until I get up the courage to make an actual garment. Forget the instruction manual and dvd and try YouTube for easier to understand instructions. Didn't include a trimmings catcher but an empty small Ferrero Roche box fits perfectly!
