I discovered I was surrounded by too many metal objects as the unit needs to be pointed away from all metal objects in order to avoid cancelling out any objects and making the unit unable to power on properly. Once the unit is powered on, it actually works quite well for the stud or metal findings in the walls. Although when using the unit to directly point at an object the range to detect the target is quite small, it seems to need to be around 12 inches away and directly pointing at the target in order to detect it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ No regrets.
