My replacement kettle also went rusty fairly quickly. It is not in a damp or unventilated room so the problem lies with the kettle. It is a shame as otherwise it looks good. I won't bother buying another one the same. **Q: Does the design of the filter allow it to be emptied 100% through the spout? Some kettles have a filter that's raised from the surface of the kettle.** A: The filter is raised as you have described, however I was able to empty the kettle just through the spout. The filter looks like it can be removed but I have not tried. **Q: Is the spout filter completely concealed when it is fitted to the kettle? It appears so from the photograph in the product description.** A: You instal the filter from inside the kettle, slipping the bottom filter catch into position and then pushing the top of the filter so it clicks into place. The filter 'bulges' into the kettle when assembled. **Q: Don't quite know how but we've lost the spout filter.....looked all over the net but can't find spares anywhere?** A: I`m not surprised. The wretched thing is small & easily lost. I don`t bother to remove it & let a descaler run through it when cleaning. ## Frequently Bought Together - Russell Hobbs Brushed Stainless Steel Electric 1.7L Cordless Kettle (Quiet & Fast Boil 3KW, Removable washable anti-scale filter, Push button lid, Perfect pour spout) 20460 - Russell Hobbs 2 Slice Toaster with Perfect Toast Technology for improved evenness (Wide slots, Lift & look feature, 6 Browning levels, Frozen & Cancel function, 850W, Brushed & Stainless Steel) 24080 --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/47957961-brushed-stainless-steel-electric-kettle-1-7l-cordless](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/47957961-brushed-stainless-steel-electric-kettle-1-7l-cordless) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-01*
