We could not get our old DVD player to work with it (I am sure there is a way to get it to work, but we couldn't work it out). The machine it self works but can't get it up on T.V** A: I use a HDMI cable to the television and it works O.K. Perhaps you are not using the source button on your T.V. remote, it brings up different connections such as scart 1 or 2, or HDMI 1 or 2 etc and you go to the source you are using and press O.K. to the cable you have and it should work. **Q: Can you record and watch another TV program?** A: This is a DVD player.
