Review: Quality sketchpad with good hardcover. - This is a really decent sketching pad, nice solid hardback covers that will be very helpful when sketching outdoors. The paper is nice quality, not brilliant white but a good white with a heft to it that is nice and feels good.. I haven’t used it to drawn yet, but I would say this is a good product. I would definitely buy again.
Review: Great with gel pens and pencils. - I love these pads. I want to try fluid ink or tints on them, at some point, but for gel pen and pencil work they are fabulous. Water-colour? No. I mean - it's possible if it's an almost dry brush which is used but this paper will buckle with normal water-colour use. The only thing that could make them better (but would probably make them more expensive) is if the edge by the ring binders had a straight perforated line to help with getting a precisely angled removal from the pad. Sometimes, when scanning, a person may want to put that edge against the scan plate buffers and if you're scanning something bigger than A4 - a consistently exact line would help with 'stitching' the scanned images back together. Haven't tried printing on this paper. Is that even possible? Dare I try it (I have a pretty standard domestic printer) or will it jam?

**Q: Is this sketchbook suitable for watercolour work? I need something that can also take inks without bleeding through to the next page.**
A: It is good quality paper which I have used with watercolour paint and ink. It slightly wrinkles but does not bleed through to next page. Great value for money compared to drawing pads bought on the High Street.

A: Hi,Many thanks for your enquiry. The paper is not completely smooth, but it is not overly textured either. We would say it is medium tooth. **Q: Does the front and back cover have a fabric type texture ?**
A: Hello. The book covers are made from grey board which has then been covered with a black wibalin cloth so they do have some texture. Thanks, Steve

This is a really decent sketching pad, nice solid hardback covers that will be very helpful when sketching outdoors. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great value sketch pad for all art styles & needs!

This art sketch pad is great value for money, the pages are so thick that if I was to paint on one side I could easily use the other without worry of bleeding through. The actual pad itself is really sturdy and has a thick cover on the front and back. You get plenty of high quality pages for your money and I will definitely be buying another when I've used up my current sketch pad. It also works well enough as a mouse pad as Im running out of desk space and often have it where I sometimes need to use the mouse and so it can sit atop the case! (A little bonus feature I'm sure not intended for it's use!) I highly recommend getting this :)
