As you can see from the pictures the imperial side goes up to 0.1 inches, and the metric side has markings up to 2.15mm (i think) However what spark plugs have that sort of gap anyway. This is a very useful tool, simple accurate and straightforward to use **Q: Does this actually adjust the gap as well as measure it** A: Yes it can open/increase the spark plug gap by inserting the edge between the electrodes and 'easing' them apart very carefully. Unfortunately, it has no facility for decreasing the gap, for that I very carefully press the plug electrode against a door frame or other solid surface. **Q: Is this suitable for diesel engines?** A: The clue is in the title. Don't have sparkplugs on diesel engines. **Q: question. can it check gap in points** A: It is OK for plugs but far too cumbersome for checking points - you need to use blade type feeler gauges which are much narrower and will fit easily between the points in a distributor . I have not checked accuracy against a set of feeler gauges but found it perfect for my engines. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Quick and Simple to Use *by D***T on 24 June 2021* This is a useful tool - forget feeler gauges, this is easier and quicker to check a gap on a plug. I have feeler gauges but this is better as the feeler gauges are far more delicate and easier to damage or loose some of them in the bottom of a toolbox. This is more robust, easier and quicker to use. It is cheap too. Manufacturing quality is adequate rather than very good hence 4 stars.
