No force put on them but one of the bulb connections was clearly weak and they disintegrated.....very disappointed - may have been a one off fault but please be aware. They did arrive promptly and when tested before putting up were working. Update - the company contacted me after I raised my concerns without my prompting. They offered a refund without request which I accepted. So although the product did not live up to expectation the customer service was superb so i have upgraded my review. As I said mine may have been a rogue set given other positive reviews so its good to know that if it goes wrong you get your money back :) ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ They're Christmassy & my kids love them *by R***B on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 14 December 2017* These are pretty good, I was bit dubious about the battery housing and it was a bit tight to get the batteries in the caddy, time will tell whether there's any water ingress as there's no gasket but I've wrapped a bit of PTFE tape around the thread of the housing but they've stood up to the recent feisty weather without problems (wind, rain, frost, snow and sunshine).They have a number of sequences from the slightly manic flashing to the gentle growing/fading intensity and one that runs through each in turn, you just press the on/off button to scroll through them to the one you want & then leave them, they stay on for 6 hours, turn off for 18, then on again. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Battery life *by A***S on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 18 December 2018* This product the of 4 AA batteries. 1 set of 4 lasts about 1 week when used under mode combination.The timer function means the lights switch themselves off after 6 hours and back on after another 18.
