Make sure the tension is along the length of the velcro (hence the line of stitches) rather than across it. I used a single line of stitches at each edge and end of the velcro, but 2 lines would be extra secure. **Q: Is this suitable for making durable heavy leather good and shoe repairs?** A: I doubt it...I use it for sewing jewellery onto costume..not sure it will suit leather and can within getting wet **Q: Would this be strong enough for a leather setter - a seam that is heavily stressed as it’s where people sit. Fishing twine was not strong enough.** A: No if fishing twine was not strong enough this will not be either - its just a strong sewing thread for eg buttons **Q: Would this bw suitable tk replace missjng thread in curtain header tape?** A: Probably not. It is only sewing thread even though it's stronger than normal thread. You would probably need something more like string to rethread curtain tape.
