It keeps the keyboard very tactile, and I almost prefer typing on it rather than without it. I have the first generation MacBook Pro 13 inch with Touch Bar, and the keyboard has been giving me issues. I cleaned it daily with a damp microfibre cloth, plus also hoovered it weekly. Still had the well known issue of keys not working. Apple thankful just replaced the whole keyboard under warranty. And I am now only using it with this skin on top of it. The only downside is that whilst the skin does allow the key backlight to be visible, it only shows you the key contour and not the actual letter on the key. But it is not a big deal to me as rarely use my laptop in darkness.
