I need a clear background on my images as its going onto painted wood. Thankyou** A: The paper was white. Your image is printed onto the white paper. I then cut it out and ironed it on to a t shirt. That way only the image was transferred. If you didn't cut it out then I think the white round your image would transfer too **Q: If you were to draw with markers (rather than print) onto this paper would it transfer onto T-shirts?** A: I would think so, especially if they are the fabric paint markers. My suggestion is to make a swatch. Use one of the sheets to do this. Divide it into squares on the transfer side, colour in each square with the different media you want to use or try out. When it's dry transfer the media onto a clean piece of fabric (preferably cotton or other natural materials) by following the instructions for your paper type. This way you will find out what will and won't work and you'll have a fabric reference swatch for what each piece of media looks like when applied. For the greatest saturation of colours it is always best to apply the colours directly to your fabric of choice. Note: not all media are colourfast or washable - you can test this on your swatch too. Very good ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good product but with a few setting up teething problems on my part. *by J***E on 1 April 2015* I ordered this paper so I could transfer a word onto calico. I typed in the word I wanted but struggled to reverse it. I have an old version of word and my printer, whilst not that old, wouldn't reverse the word. I ended up saving my typing as an image and then opening it in a photo editor and reversing it that way. When ready to transfer the image I placed a large wooden chopping block on top of my ironing board and laid a cloth on it to give a little cushioning. Note that the paper I received does not have an iron on the back so it's a matter of clock watching whilst ironing. After about 3 mins I judged it to be ready so peeled off the paper whilst hot. The word had transferred beautifully but I was left with a very dark beige colour behind the word which didn't look particularly neat as I'd trimmed it close to the word. I think next time I will cut a very neat oblong so that the background will be at least straight! I am wondering if I could put a colour background behind the word so that it prints that onto the calico.
