You walk away from your machine and it locks, come back and it unlocks.There are enough options to suit most people needs. You have range adjustment, click button or fully automatic.You can have it login straight away when you turn your machine on so you don't have to login through windows and when windows is up and runningthe program just sits in your taskbar doing its job. The interface is very simple and there are not loads of options, but there doesn't need to be, have a look at the image and you will see.A small security device that stops others using you PC / Laptop ### ⭐ 1.0 out of 5 stars Love the idea, however just would not work. *by I***H on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 23 May 2016* The idea is you plug the Bluetooth Dongle into your PC and pair it to the key. When the key is in range of the Bluetooth dongle you can have it unlock your PC, conversely when the key goes out of range (distance can be specified) your PC automatically locks.....GREAT eh?The key paired fine with the dongle, however the GateKepper software icon in my tray showed with an X symbol. Looking further at the software the dongle had no connection with my key as stated hence no signal strength.I tried un-registering the key and re-registering the key to no avail. I also uninstalled the software and re-installed, again the same issues.I'm afraid I'll stick to my passwords, they work! ### ⭐⭐ 2.0 out of 5 stars A great product...when it works properly. *by G***S on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 8 October 2016* The Gatekeeper is a great idea, I just wish it worked better. One minute you can walk 5M away from your computer before it locks (what I want) and the next I will be sitting directly! In front of the PC monitor and it locks. Obviously, when that happens I check the battery monitor and it is showing as 'good'. So you end up unclipping the Gatekeeper key from the lanyard and resting it against the dongle, which defeats the whole point of the device if you walk away and forget to take the key with you. The other thing not explained well in the instructions is how long it takes for the Gatekeeper service to start on the PC. When you start your computer, the standard Windows log on prompt displays long before the Gatekeeper service starts, so you are left waiting to access your machine if you want the Gatekeeper protection.
