Thank you!** A: I had the same problem but got my husband to have a look at it. Apparently the base cap that keeps the battery in place only has a small area for the connection to be made. If the cap moves round at all the epilator/brush will stop working. All you have to do is move it slightly and it will start again. It only needs a quarter turn after replacing the battery for the connection to be made. Any more and it won't work. Hope that helps. **Q: i have a few questions, can you use it all over your face? does it cause ingrown hairs? and does regrowth come in like stubble?** A: Yes you can use it all over your face if you need to, but obviously wherever you use it you will get regrowth, it hasn't caused ingrown hairs with me, I wouldn't call regrowth stubble, you feel the hairs coming through again, but mine come through again after about a week, and I just use my braun epilator again, its great, I wouldn't be without it now, it gives me so much more confidence just knowing I can go out socializing feeling great knowing my facial hair is under control, and my make up looks great on top of smooth skin, without any trace of any facial hair anywhere, brilliant ! Go for it, you won't look back, this is my experience anyway. **Q: Can you use this to epilate nose hair?** A: Short Answer: YES YOU CANLong Answer (with some advice): I am a man with quite large nostrils and it's very very comfortable and amazing and I never ever look back to using those tweezers. Tweezers are a lot more painful and take much much much much longer... My brother tried mine out and his nostrils are much smaller, average size or maybe smaller than average. It was a bit of a tight fit inside his nostril but worked very well. The most painful part is the thought of doing it. At first I was really scared, I thought it was going to suck my brain out of my nose. But then I thought hey tweezers suck and trimming is useless, I gotta be a man and do the right thing! So I sellotaped my moustache and started epilating and the first 1 or 2 hairs did hurt, but I persisted and I have to say it doesn't hurt anywhere near as much as tweezers. After the first 1 or 2 times it's virtually painless.I will give you some advice as to how you should go about doing it to make it as easy and pain free as possible. The hairs in the centre of your nose (the middle part that separates your nostrils), are most sensitive... as well as the hairs that are directly above your "moustache"... so make sure the "epilator's guard" is against those, so that they don't get plucked (you can pluck them later, once your nose has got used to the epilator). But the rest of the hairs (i.e. attached to the front of your nose) are less sensitive, so start with plucking those. Only pluck a little bit (maybe 1 or 2 minutes in each nostril) on your first time doing it. Then wait until the next day and do some more. Otherwise if you do your whole nose in one go then the next morning your nose will become very sore, it will feel like Muhammed Ali punched you in the face! Trust me I know because I was overly ambitious on my first time. My brother listened to my advice and took it day by day and he didn't get any soreness. I also took it easier since then and did it in smaller "batches" and it doesn't get sore.Another word of advice. My brother's nose was quite tight so the epilator sometimes wouldn't turn. You have to hold it a little diagonal so that your nostril is "pried open" a little bit. Then it can spin more freely.Good luck and good on you for anyone who buys one of these for nasal epilation.
