All I know for sure is that this is the only product that works for me. Stopped my arthritic pain in my back. No more sleepless nights and I am 84 years old. **Q: Is the stearic acid from plant or animal source?** A: I no longer have the container from that product, which I did not buy again because the tablets are grossly oversized, about double of other bromelain supplements, and due to their rough texture, even harder to get down. He said they're too big and dry to swallow without getting stuck and too nasty to chew. Anyone find a better way?** A: You can try crushing them and then add to juice or milk. I would normally snack quite a lot through the day but I'm finding that I don't need to. You still need to pay attention to your hunger cues, i.e you could still binge on a lot of food if you really wanted to, they don't make you uncomfortablly full, just a satisfied feeling. So long as you're realistic with expectations I think they're great. They're not going to make you lose weight on their own, but if you're making an effort to eat right and more more, they may help speed up the process a little and help keep food cravings at bay. The tablets can affect absorption of other medications so I take my regular medication first thing along with a multivitamin and don't take a glucomamnan pill until a few hours later 11ish. I take another 45 minutes before my evening meal. It recommends 3 per day but 2 is enough for me.
