I find it rather difficult to apply to ears as it just stays gritty in ears.** A: I have used Thornit on my spaniels ears for many years. Yes it is slightly gritty, but really works to keep ears clean and healthy. I find using a make up brush to apply it works well. Just dip in to the powder and rub around the top of the ear hole, then gently massage. **Q: Would this get rid of mites first time ?** A: I cannot in honesty say it will get rid on first application, all depend how bad ears are affected, I was advised to use this by our dog groomer who always gets involved regarding pets ailments, I can say that if you purchase it I doubt you'll want to use any other type of ear product, it is simple and very effective, our dog has a tendency especially this time of year to get quite hot ears, he loves this product being used on him and after first application you'll notice a difference, it's lifetime is long, instructions are easy to follow, I will always use this on our pet when necessary as our dog dislikes ear drops and I have not come across a product which works as well as this.I hope this reply helps. **Q: Hi can I ask what is the minimum age to use this product please. Her ears are not as red *by A***R on 16 March 2016* Ok, I have a ridgeback, who hates anything touching her ears... they are always musty smelling and look red and inflamed. I have used this product for a week now, and so far.... so good! Her ears are not as red, and the smell is definitely not as bad. Its easy to apply. I use a nice old blusher brush, and she actually likes the sensation of me rubbing her ear with it. I am not sure how much goes in, but its got to be doing something.
