I've tried loads of energy gels, but I keep coming back to these blackcurrant SiS ones. The flavour is spot on - not too sweet or artificial - and they’re smooth enough to take mid-run without needing water. I’ve had other gels that are too thick or sickly sweet, but these are just right. The consistency makes them easy to swallow, even when I’m pushing hard. They give me a steady energy boost without any sudden spikes or crashes. With 22g of carbs per gel, they keep me going on longer runs and rides without upsetting my stomach. I like that they’re isotonic, so I don’t have to chug water with them. They’re also vegan and gluten-free, which is a nice bonus. The 30-pack is great value, saving me money and the hassle of restocking all the time. I always keep a few in my running belt and cycling jersey because I know they work for me.
