A few comments based on some of the other reviews I read. 1. The backpack straps DO fully tuck into the bag, you just have to look closely to find where they need to be tucked into. An added bonus (as someone who also has Maxpedition bags), this bag has a large pocket on the side, with a place for pens and another little pouch inside, and velcro on the inside-exterior wall of the pocket. I was thinking, "It would be perfect if the velcro was on the side closest to me, because then it could double as a concealed carry bag". If you look closely, the whole pen organizer/pocket thing is just velcroed in, on about a 10" square piece of velcro. I was able to remove this pouch completely and may reuse it inside the main compartment. This gave me exactly what I needed, with velcro on the pocket wall closest to me, so that I could dedicate that compartment for my Glock 23. Now I am able to use my Maxpedition velcro holster in this bag as well. The only alteration I have made was to replace the zipper pulls with paracord (10" lengths and then of course burn the ends so that they don't fray). It did come with a couple of long velcro straps which I assume are to hold your laptop more securely, but it already has a sleeve area with velcro and I found that fully sufficient for my needs so I removed the velcro straps. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Well done, Condor! *by M***D on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on November 15, 2013* Once again, Condor exceeds my expectation. Even when I expect Condor to be 'good enough' based on everything else I own, they always go one step further in pushing it beyond what I figured I'd get.Squeaks at the pivots on the shoulder strap, but 'could' decrease with use. Not a problem with me because I hate shoulder strap bags. The backpack straps, connected left to right (or right to left) for one strap over the shoulder on the back carry is what works best for me. Over the back and out of the way. No squeak with the shoulder straps.Typical Condor quality, which means much better constructed than 99% of the market, and overbuilt for the other 1%.Lots of small pockets and nooks that you don't see unless you look. Expands WAY larger than I would even want to try to stuff. The main pocket expands another 1-2" by unzipping the entire way around. Will nicely hold a pistol and a few extra mags using the universal holster (UH1) and some velcro mag pouches. Fast access 'could' be an issue, but concealment won't be.Not much I would change other than making the fold-over laptop sleeve/cushion removable (it's sewn on/into the bag), more MOLLE points on the outside (if you're looking for more attachment points, you may want to consider a different type of bag), and some velcro 'patch' points on the outside for an ID patch or name tag (not that hard to do on your own with some materials and time). ### ⭐⭐⭐ Fits my 17" ThinkPad but has some cons *by M***E on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on July 30, 2013* I'm still trying to get used to this laptop bag. It seems to be built well, and I haven't noticed any stitching issues or zipper weaknesses yet, but I haven't put more than a few hours' use on it yet. My 17" Lenovo ThinkPad does fit in it, which surprised me because I have the longer widescreen model and an extended battery.Pros:- Cool tactical look I was hoping for- Can be used as a backpack or messenger bag style- Seems built fairly well, especially for the price- Reasonable price- If you want to stay more compact and just have your laptop and a few small supplies, this bag is greatCons:- 2 main pockets on the front are rather simple. The larger one has inner pockets to work with, but the smaller one does not and is just open space- Bag is tight when you laptop is in it. Not much room for thick files or much paperwork/supplies/notepads in this when the laptop is in it- The shoulder strap (when used in messenger bag format) squeaks on every step! The plastic clip hinge squeaks and drives me nuts! I'm not going to oil it because I don't want oil on my dress clothes.- Not a very comfortable bag in backpack mode, but it does the job.- Anything more than your laptop, some small items, and your charger and you're out of luck. This bag may be too compact for many travelers who carry other items with themMaybe when it breaks in a bit more, I'll like it better.
