The price is a steal. I'm pretty cheap, so $10 is a really palatable price for a small hobby project. There is a 10% coupon so you can get them for only 9 bucks. They work great too. The 60 LED/meter is the high density you want, as opposed to 30/meter. They work no problem with multiple Arduino libraries. Since you only need one output pin, you can even program an ATTINY to control the LEDs, so you can make the control circuit for these very simple and compact.They have connectors so you can easily chain multiple together, as two power wires in parallel with the connectors so you can run them off of an external power supply (Such as USB via spliced cable). Just be sure not to power them through Arduino, as it is not able to handle the current drawn through a full strip. I did this once when programming the Arduino through my computer without disconnecting the power from the LED Strip. (no damage though)I was able to power the whole strip off of a USB power bank easily. For my case lights, I'm powering them directly off of my motherboards USB 2.0 headers. I spliced a spare USB cable to power and program the Arduino. The Arduino is connected to the LED strip with the connector, and the strip is powered through the parallel connection I mentioned earlier. The Arduino is connected to the USB data as well, so I can program it from my computer at any time. (Check wikipedia for USB wire colors, some images and websites from google search are wrong!)I'm going to grab another meter of cable to backlight my monitor because they are so cheap. They also have an adhesive backing.
