We used it on a teflon frying pan during a 9 day alpine hunting trip and it worked great. **Q: Will it melt if you use it to clean out a hot pan?** A: No not at all, there's times I put water and soap detergent in a pan on the stove and bring it to a boil then use the brush to scrape the bottom. I had no problems with it melting yet **Q: How long are the bristles and are they stiff?** A: The bristles are 1/2" and very stiff. Winner! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great bit of kit, wouldn't be without it now *by P***E on 24 February 2016* I was struggling to justify paying for a specialist brush to clean my cookware. I'd previously tried taking a toothbrush and a scourer to clean my pots but these became quickly clogged. This thing is just brilliant! I can scrape the majority of the food from the pan with the flat edges. The brush sorts out the rest. If I want pristine then I do run a scourer round the pot after using the brush but that's only for a couple of remaining bits in the corner and therefore doesn't get all clogged. It cleaned scrambled egg off my new mess tin with ease. At 22g on my kitchen scales it's a welcome addition to my backpacking kit.
