It does have a woody taste for about 5 smokes, but that foes rather quickly. the pouch it comes in is great and handy. note: WHEN PUTTING IT TOGETHER DON'T TURN TOO HARD WHEN PUTTING TOGETHER OR IT WILL BREAK.
