Review: Enjoyable movie. - I have been looking forward to this movie for ever.It arrived bang on time in the lovely packaging we now expect with a cardboard sleeve.Great picture quality and sound with some lovely extras my favourite being the 28 minutes of deleted/extended scenes.I always wish they left such scenes in.The movie itself is first rate with plenty of action and CGI.The plot I am afraid is the usual sort ie super villain wanting to take over/destroy the world etc but it is done with such style it does not really matter.Great performances from the lead characters as you might expect from McAvoy,Fassbender and Lawrence.The film attempts to show some depth to the characters you do not often get in super hero movies.All in all a very enjoyable experience.I was also pleasantly surprised by the quality of the Wolverine character.It was very violent for the certificate of the film but but Hugh Jackman managed to convey the hurt that he was going through without a single word of dialogue.Amazing. Review: A good film and better than a lot of the others - Best of the recent films. My GF even said she enjoyed it! I watched the original cartoons as a child and some of the recent films are ok, but not great. However, I thought this film was a great watch. Good storyline and actors. If they were we would know all the storylines. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Great Surprise...not what I was expecting having listed to the critics reviews *by C***R on 7 November 2016* This movie got slatted by critics across the board from Screen Junkies etc, but having now seen it....I have to say wrongly so as a fan of the franchise I have to say I loved it. I was very happy to say that I utterly enjoyed this movie and would highly recommend it, was far better than Suicide Squad and most of the DC offerings this year (btw I am a fan of both Marvel & DC) only a few things prevented this from being 5 stars. First of all Archangel: for this character I would have loved to see him portrayed more as he was in the comics, and shown the conflict between Angel and his inner Demon Archangel that Apocalypse creates. That and to see him come back in the rumoured X-Force movie with Deadpool, secondly I think we didn't need the beginning part of the movie and that could have been dedicated to bringing in Mr Sinister, and would have been great had it followed the comic book lore more.
