She gives a vast amount of information about their use and potential and I learnt a lot from her experience. There is a lot of information on pressure cooking, the number one use of multicookers and instant pots. However, he also talks comprehensively about their other uses and about how to choose the best meat and chicken for the instant pot. Then follow general hints about how best to follow the instructions in the recipes. Then come the recipes, an abundance of them. I can't believe that some people have looked through the book and found no attractive recipes! I wanted to make everything! The sections include breakfasts, beans and grains, meatless mains, fish and shellfish, poultry, meat and desserts. There really is something for everyone. The index is clear and includes hyperlinks back and forward, if you have the kindle edition, as I do. Recipes are easy to find.Now for the negatives. This is an American book with American measures. Their pints and quarts are diferent from ours. It does not have the UK equivalents anywhere. It has only the American names for foods. I have downloaded and printed a comprehensive guide to UK and US equivalents from the internet to overcome this, but it is still irritating. Why sell books in the UK when publishers do not even have the courtesy to provide thesse equivalents?Also the book is about the original Instant Pot so one has gto experiment to find out whether the version one has bought (mine's a Tefal) will do the same things. Hence the loss of one star.My instant pot has sat in the pantry for 18 months, untried.
