Box Contains Graphite pencil-Set HB 6 pieces Review: Simply the best! - These pencils, triangular in section with rounded edges and little black dots along their length, are brilliant for anyone using pencils extensively (as I do, working on original manuscripts in archives). They are very easy to hold for long periods at a time as the little dots allow air to circulate under fingers so that they don't get sticky or slippery. Also, the leads are strong and don't need resharpening very frequently. They are not easy to find individually in shops, but online packs of six are good value. I warmly recommend them to everyone and often buy them for gifts. Review: Good quality, very comfortable, easy to grip. - I bought a pack of these for my 5-year old, who has difficulty holding the pencil in the 'beaky' position (the term that her teacher uses to describe a proper tripod grip). These are perfect for that purpose. Firstly, the dimensions are different from a normal pencil: it's almost triangular in cross-section, so it's easy to put the fingers in the right place. Secondly, the repeating dot pattern really does help improve her grip (which is surprising, since it seems to be just a layer of slightly thicker paint). In fact, they are so good, I have nabbed one for my own use. A great pencil for sketching and drafting. They sharpen easily, and the lead never seems to break. Really impressed. Will buy again. ## Features - Writing instrument - Premium quality - Easy to use ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B001W0QL2I | | Age Range Description | Adult | | Age range (description) | Adult | | Artistic Charcoal Form | Compressed Charcoal | | Best Sellers Rank | 13,206 in Stationery & Office Supplies ( See Top 100 in Stationery & Office Supplies ) 114 in Wooden Lead Pencils | | Body Shape | Triangular | | Brand | Faber-Castell | | Brand Name | Faber-Castell | | Colour | Silver | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 out of 5 stars 5,986 Reviews | | Drill Point | Medium | | Global Trade Identification Number | 04005401176978 | | Grip Type | Ribbed | | Hardness | HB | | Included Components | Lead | | Ink Base | Water | | Ink Colour | Silver | | Ink colour | Silver | | Is the Product Left or Right Handed? | Ambidextrous | | Item Dimensions | 23.5 x 2 x 6.5 centimetres | | Item Type Name | Faber Castell 117697 Graphite pencil-Set "GRIP 2001" HB 6 pieces in silver | | Item Weight | 0.02 Pounds | | Line Size | 0.3mm" or "0.5mm | | Manufacturer | Faber-Castell | | Material | Wood | | Material Type | Wood | | Model Name | Grip 2001 | | Model Number | 117697 | | Recommended Uses For Product | Painting | | Special Features | Ergonomic | | Style | HB | | Theme | Rainbow | | Unit Count | 6.0 count | | Water Resistance Level | Water Resistant | | Writing Instrument Form | Graphite Pencil | | Writing Technique | pencil lead | | Writing instrument form | Graphite Pencil | ## Product Details - **Age range (description):** Adult - **Brand:** Faber-Castell - **Colour:** Silver - **Ink colour:** Silver - **Material:** Wood - **Model name:** Grip 2001 - **Point type:** Medium - **Special feature:** Ergonomic - **Unit count:** 6.0 Count - **Writing instrument form:** Charcoal Pencil ## Images ![Faber-Castell Grip 2001 HB Pencils - Pack of 6, 117697 - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71eD3Qi8WlL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color, Item Package Quantity** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Is there is a price error with pk of 10** A: Total advertising error! And even then when I ordered 10 I only got sent 6! **Q: hello are these pencils smudge proof ?** A: HI Bobby, those pencils not 100% smudge proof, but there are the best once what I have found. The quality is very good, but you need a good pencil sharper. I have bought one from Faber Castell and I had no problem at all - The wood used for this pencil is very high quality. Worst to spend the money. **Q: Are these jumbo pencils or regular thin ones? Thank you** A: They are regular thin ones. They are a triangular shape so there is more surface area for the fingertips to press against. They are excellent quality. **Q: Is it right £2.90 for six? Bit confused as some reviews say this is expensive but for six I thought it sounded a good price?** A: It's cheap I bought 6 packs with 12 pencils in each. :) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Simply the best! *by A***A on 23 December 2019* These pencils, triangular in section with rounded edges and little black dots along their length, are brilliant for anyone using pencils extensively (as I do, working on original manuscripts in archives). These are perfect for that purpose. Firstly, the dimensions are different from a normal pencil: it's almost triangular in cross-section, so it's easy to put the fingers in the right place. There is nothing worse than sharpening a pencil only for the lead to pop out just as you get a good point (particularity if this is the 3rd or 4th attempt). This happens a lot with cheap run of the mill pencils as they tend to get dropped a lot on site and the lead cracks/breaks inside on impact with the floor so when you come to sharpen them it can be a really frustrating experience. Thankfully I don't suffer this problem any more using these Faber ones everyday for second fix/finish carpentry. I love the shape and quality and the grip really does work. They are often dropped and sometimes from a good height but I have yet to suffer the dreaded cracked lead syndrome. Happy days. :o) ## Frequently Bought Together - FABER-CASTELL Grip 2001 Pencils HB Pack of 6,Silver - Helix Oxford Twin Pack of Erasers, Oxford Blue, Large - Pritt Glue Stick, Safe & Child-Friendly Craft Glue for Arts & Crafts Activities, Strong-Hold adhesive for School & Office Supplies, 22 g (Pack of 3) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/48083773-faber-castell-grip-2001-hb-pencils-pack-of-6-117697](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/48083773-faber-castell-grip-2001-hb-pencils-pack-of-6-117697) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-03*
