Review: The all-in-one solution! - This device fits my needs of being a Bluetooth headset but also a stand-alone music player when running without a phone. The fit is awesome and there is absolutely no bouncing or any chance they would fall out even during the hardest of sprints. The sound quality is excellent and the ambient sound mode works quite well to. When riding my bike for example, I like to hear the ambient sounds (traffic etc), while I prefer to block out ambient sounds when listening to music while working on my computer. the controls are quite well thought out. I was worried that navigating 4 GB of music without a display on the device would be impossible, but with double-clicking the prev/next-buttons too switch between folders it works quite well. (One suggestion: double-click back on first song of a folder could ALWAYS trigger switch to PREVIOUS folder, not just in the first one or two seconds. If I want to skip back to beginning of current folder, I can do that with single click back anyway while at first song...) I have not yet used them for swimming but don't think I would be using them for a proper pool workout. I might consider giving them a try for a longer, steady lake-swim but honestly - the waterproofing feature is more of an added bonus for me rather than my main focus. I did however just keep them on for the shower after a run which is pretty cool. One little improvement would be on the volume of the various beeps and voice-feedback when pressing the buttons. It is sometimes quite loud and inexplicably differs between Walkman-mode and Bluetooth mode. All in all this device is very well made and thought through. I had a couple of cheaper Bluetooth headsets before, but they always fell short in overall quality and usability and didn't offer stand-alone music playing. This device is well worth the extra investment, provided that it will stand the test of time and hold up against the daily abuse I'll be throwing at it...
Review: Far too quiet - Absolutely useless for swimming. I cannot understand why the designers can't allow the unit to go louder when playing MP3 files from memory. The surrounding water noise make it impossible to hear anything. I bought these because I wanted a set of headphones I could use for both running and swimming. In the end, these are decent enough running headphones, but there are plenty of headphones that do the same job. I bought these after they were compared favourably to Aftershockz Xtrainers as swimming headphones. Having used both, I can safely say there is no comparison. Avoid.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: How many songs can this mp3 hold? 4GB does not seem alot?**
A: Depends on what type of the music you are trying to put into its memory. 4GB for AAC/mp3 type of pop music (3-5MB) probably just 750 music files can be put in them. However, if you put some better format, ALAC/FLAC 16-bit type of file (30-50MB), you can calculate how much you can put into. However, there is another option for this one is bluetooth. So if you have some streaming plan on your mobile device, you can use them on the go. These memories are only extremely useful, when you plan to take it go to swim. If you considering how long you gonna stay in the water, 70 music files, which is using the better format, it takes around 3.5 hours to finish a round. So it can be said enough. Because it a place for you to play music, rather than keep music in it. You can store your music in better method. Keeping them all the time in these flash drive type of storage platform will increase the chance of losing the files.

**Q: Does anyone with glasses use these? And, if so, are they comfortable...do you still recommend these earbuds?**
A: Hello. Yes I would still recommend. I run wearing sun glasses and I mountain bike wearing goggles/eye protection. Never fallen out or had any issues.

**Q: Is an IPad Pro compatible in any way to link the device for drag and drop of files?**
A: Hi,

This Walkman should be compatible with iPad Pro 9.7inch, and you can check the compatibility for other devices through this link: http://bit.do/fTjrZ (copy and paste the link into your web browser).
And you can use it with MAC devices through our software ''Content transfer'': http://bit.do/fTjr3 & http://bit.do/fTjr5 & http://bit.do/fTjr8 (copy and paste the link into your web browser).
Also, we recommend checking this link to learn more about the unit: http://bit.do/fTjsa (copy and paste the link into your web browser).

**Q: Can I have different playlists/folders?**
A: The newer versions are much more apt at doing this for you when you sync with Apple Music and you can then choose to shuffle play or opt for a particular folder when wearing them with the downloaded tunes. My older ones that I’m now using again add the tunes you upload to folders too but they are not as well organised) lost the upgrade ones after 3 days lol…still gutted as they’ve sold out so I upgraded my piano keyboard instead when I couldn’t replace them)

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Pretty good as swimming headphones, with a few limitations
*by J***Y on 16 July 2021*

I wanted a pair of earphones that I could swim in. I get bored going up and down in lanes and I thought I could listed to an audiobook/podcast to liven things up. I also run and have had all sorts of issues with cheap earphones so these seemed to tick all the boxes. Build quality is excellent, they're comfortable to wear and Sony have been very generous in the quantity of flanges they've supplied (4 different sizes for dry wear plus another 4 for water wear). Sound quality is ok. Just okay. Miles better with the dry flanges as they contain an actual hole for sound to pass through. They're not amazing sounding though. Just good enough. With the wet flanges (which have a thin waterproof membrane across the hole) the sound is noticeably more muffled and indistinct. They've taken me a while to get comfortable using because there are a lot of buttons on these. Once you've learned the layout though they're easy enough to use. They have bluetooth so you can connect to a phone. This seems to work fine, I've had no disconnects but I haven't yet run in them. I have been for a swim in them though. They're...okaaay. Swimming pools tend to be noisy, what with all the splashing and machinery and as I noted above, they're not particularly loud with the waterproof flanges on. I was able to swim with something like mid-level background music. Don't expect to be able to blast your workout mix into your ears for added adrenalin boosts, you'll be disappointed. It helps if you turn off the ambient noise setting - although naturally you are then less aware of your surroundings. But not much. I could still hear people around me with it turned off. You've got 4GB of storage with is plenty, but you have to navigate through folders by button so it's a bit laborious now we're all used to music apps on our phones. I just stick it on shuffle and hope for the best. Bluetooth connection doesn't work through water so there's no streaming audio from audible or podcast app while you swim. This is a shame but a limitation of the technology rather than this product. I doubt the connection would be that stable across a 25-metre pool with your phone in a bag on the poolside anyway. So it's a manual MP3 player for swimming. So essentially I'm pleased. What problems it has are more to do with the fact you're trying to take an electronic device into water than anything else. For the price, it's pretty good.
