It holds a lot of water very good for water colour painting. The bristles are soft and really high quality, and the variety of brushes in this pack means you'll have a brush suitable for whatever you are working on (for the painting above I used the no.2 Round, no.4 Filbert and no.5 Angled brushes)I've tried these brushes with both acrylic and watercolour paints so far, and they are great with both. The packaging is resealable so you can use it to store your brushes after using, and the finer pointed brushes come with plastic tubes in addition so their delicate bristles can be protected. They are really unique in design, as the handles have a subtle pearlescent shine, the ferrules are a contrasting dark metal and the bristles are a blend of black and white. I'd recommend these brushes to any artist as they're great value, they arrived quickly and were well packaged. Nicely finished, good short handles, ferrules securely and firmly crimped, and the synthetic filaments are very snappy/springy, which is great for heavy-bodied oil colours, whilst retaining the most delicate and softest fine tips, perfect for fine blending, glazing and smooth oil techniques traditional in classic painting in oils. So the quality is good in the raw materials used to make these brushes.HOWEVER...
