When it finishes printing you can actually leave the extra bits on but I bend them back and then forward and they snap off, the edge is very straight but has corners removed, they look good. The Selphy print quality is far better than on my old polaroid pogo printer. Oh and you will need a Glue Stick if you are going to put them anywhere permanently as these are not self adhesive. **Q: can the photo printed from it be used as passport photos?** A: If you're willing to cut the photo to the correct dimensions and follow the guidelines issued for passport photos, then yes the quality is excellent. However it is an expensive way to create a passport photo.
