Review: Excellent - The product itself looks superb and I've no doubt I will be very pleased once I start to use. (currently got a supermarket one on the go) Why am I reviewing now? - partly to say what the ingredients are: anchovies and salt. No added sugar and no shellfish (Important for me as I'm allergic to some of them). Bought 21 April 2016, expiry date 12 Nov 2018, so plenty of time to use. Size: 17 fl oz, or 525ml, rather than the 500ml advertised (I'm not complaining). Reviewing the packing in a review of the product is frowned on but this is such a difficult product to post that packing virtually becomes as important as the product itself - I bought solely because it was being sent by desertcart UK so I knew outer packing would be good; the seller was an Alabama company called Friday 515 who presumably are responsible for the inner packing: bottle well sealed, placed in a sealed plastic bag, (so any spillage would have been contained), triple taped bubble wrapping, all inserted in a heavy duty well fitting box. Perfect. I think it is going to be well worth what I paid. Edit: I'm allergic to shellfish, but not all. I 'tested' (ate a small amount!) of anchovy prior to using regularly and I'm OK no reaction. If you are allergic to shellfish you may or may not be allergic to anchovies. Edit: Now using, high quality, not sure its going to last me as long as I thought, as I'm finding it a useful addition to several types of meals. Yet to try in scrambled eggs! Its not as fishy smelling as other reviews led me to believe and there is no fishy taste in any completed meals.

A: Its legally about 2.5 years, but most likely it will see you through until the next ice age.

**Q: Does this product contain preservatives?**
A: No. In fact it is the only fish sauce in the world that doesn't (as far as i know!) It ONLY contains wild black anchovies and sea salt.......nothing else!

**Q: Are there any health benefits to this product?**
A: It is high in protein.....
But also high in salt. It is an artisanal product, but is really for seasoning food......

**Q: Can I use this product as a flavor enhancer to bolognese pasta?**
A: Yes this product is pure instant umami.

Wow, this stuff is in a different league. First pressing and you can tell. Intense fishy taste, very different from the less expensive sauce. Four times the price of the standard fish sauce, but money very well spent
