I would even say that it's more for cardstock than lighter paper. With the card stock I used, just looked it up and it was 80 pound, it cracked where it was scored and folded sometimes, I think it was more because it was textured cardstock as well though. **Q: Do the envelopes fold properly or are there gaps at the corners?** A: The envelopes fold very nice, without gaps at the corners. The punch at the top makes a half round punch on your paper that the fold score lines radiate from. I just received mine the same day I was asked to answer this, so I had to check it out first.
