My previous attempt at phone recording included a little box that connected directly via the incoming phone line RJ11 sockets and also required a USB power line. Unsucessful with both my phones. Fortunately, I have a Sony IC Recorder (left in picture) bought over 10 years ago but still having the features of current models at a much lower cost than they are now. The recorder mike input matches the pickup output very well and suction is helped by the back of the (Geemarc) handset being much flatter that the usual BT ones.
