Review: Good Tape - The 32mm width of this 8m tape makes it, like other tapes this size, pretty heavy so it’s not going to sit in your pocket very easily. Having said that, the width gives it good throw and it will stay rigid for a good length. It has durability and accuracy you’d expect from Stanley and has quickly become my go to tape measure. If I was going to make a criticism it would be that the surface finish is very shiney and this can make it difficult to read in bright light. This may fade over time however. I’ve also seen other criticism that it can be reluctant to retract and this is true. Personally I like this though, my Komelon tape I lost which this replaces shot back so fiercely it almost took your eye out. The Stanley just needs a little shake to persuade it so there’s no need for safety gear.🤭

**Q: Has the Stanley 33-886 have imperial and metric**
A: Yes. Excellent tape measure!

**Q: What does the xtreme version give over the non-xtreme version?**
A: The tape is wider and strong and the hook is two dimensional - overall a pro version. Solid built product.

**Q: The pictures are showing too different tapes is this just an error? Does it come with the hook shown in the first picture?**
A: Yes the end hook is silver as in the first photo

**Q: Is it Guaranteed if stops working within6months wont retract**
A: Not sure I stop using after few days, because it was too fiddle to pull the tape out.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A great measure, that has stood the test of time.

I've now owned this for 2 years. It's been a great measure. Very accurate and robust in construction. The spring rewind mechanism is still working perfectly. Yes, the 8m version is a little bulky, but it has to be, and I really prefer a measure like this with a wide tape. (The tape is bevelled for extra rigidity, and with the bevel the width is 28mm.) It makes reading in less than ideal light so much easier. Also, because of the width, you get a much bigger end bracket to hook onto things. So, unlike narrow tapes, it actually stays hooked on as you move away. For a mid air measurement, with care I can get the tape to 4m before it folds. Very impressive. The belt clip is still attached and working well. In fact, functionality wise, it is still as good as new. It's used most days, and has never let me down. Strongly recommended.
