When I started my smart home, Hive was the only company that I could use to control my central heating with and the crafty sods gave me 4 lamps to get me started with. But since alexa and google came along things have changed. I paid Β£15 for 2 colour changing lamps and there great. I wish there was better integration with the Google Assistant. The Google Assistant has a lot a preset colour choices for lights such as "forest green" but these aren't recognised by the hive bulbs. I also wish that the colour transitions were smoother. When selecting a new colour, they very abruptly change from one colour to the next. The same is said for bulb brightness.
