Bristles are very firm and sturdy. No bristles have shed since I've had it. It's a good investment. **Q: how do I store the brush in between cleaning?** A: If you're using it to stimulate and exfoliate your skin it doesn't really need any type of special storage. **Q: where is it made?** A: England **Q: would this help with kp?** A: No!! Do NOT use this if you have keratosis pilaris. Those with KP should avoid harsh scrubs or physically exfoliating affected areas, as this can irritate and make it worse. Only use very soft loofahs, a natural sponge, or a washcloth, and then use a topical exfoliant after showering/bathing. Lotions with lactic acid, AHAs, or retinoids are good. AmLactin works very well for many with KP, but I use prescription strength Retin-A micro 0.1%. It’s cheap with a prescription and then I get to use it on my face for anti-aging. Bonus!! Avoid stiff bristle brushes, harsh scrubs, or pumice stones, though. So glad I came across this in daily deals as I got this super brush for very little money and it's just fabulous; not too heavy to hold, fits hand nicely in the wide strap, bristles are perfectly placed and spaced to give a thorough brush but not be too abrasive. The bristles are pretty firm so please don't be tempted to scrub or push down while brushing, or you may scratch yourself. Go gentle, long sweeping strokes toward the heart. My skin is VERY dry (but no eczma) and dry brushing has improved the condition of my skin, reducing the 'lizard skin' look particularly on my lower legs and upper arms. DO NOT BRUSH YOUR FACE! I brush first thing in the morning as it helps wake me up and give me a burst of energy ready to get the kids ready for school.
