However I could not get a super sharp blade with this sharpener alone. It is a nice chunky solid item and was easy to use with fair instructions, if you forgive the mis-spelling of course for coarse. The very light pressure (just the weight of the blade) on the fine sharpener works well with heavy knives but thin blades knives need a light pressure or a finish with a steel.
