The 120 ×120mm Stirring Hot Plate has a 180W heating power and 716°F (380°C) maximum temperature. The magnetic stirrer is adjustable from 100 to 2000 rpm. A support stand with an adjustable thermometer holder is also included. The control of heating power does not mean that temperature can be controlled (i.e. the temperature cannot be controlled). You need a thermometer to manually adjust heating operation if you intend to control the temperature. What’s the size of the magnetic stir bar? The size of an original magnetic stir bar is 1 inch and it is enough to stir a lot of liquid. If you want to get the max. stirring speed faster than the device default, there is a trim resistor at the bottom of the unit. You can use a screwdriver to fine-tune directly. (However, please exercise caution. It can easily cause the liquid to splash out, if the stirring speed is too fast.) Can I heat liquid to boiling condition? It's difficult to perform stirring and heating simultaneously for the stirrer with heating power at 180W only for the stirred liquid keeps losing heat. As a result, we suggest that stirring shall be stopped when heating is performed, or you can get boiling liquid by heating and stirring such liquid in a sealed container. Works great and a good price. Review: Good quality, consistant heat, quiet operation. Good value for money. - Nice piece of kit and saves me a lot of work when mixing up my own vape liquid. Heats quickly and to a consistant temperature. It is runing for approx 4 hours at a time and is very silent when operating. It should be obviouse but given it is a HOT plate do not leave unattended for lengthy periods or in an area where children could touch it while in operation. The only reason for the loss of 1 star is i have used it probably around a dozen times for approx 4 hours at a time and on one occasion the spinning mechanism didnt activate. I didnt have to do anything except turn off the spin and turn it back on. Other than that it has worked flawlessly. I bought an ISG Hotplate Stirrer instead which is really good and a dream to use !!!
