It has a large 2 finger trigger switch with conveniently located lock on button for continuous use, 3 orbital settings plus straight cutting and a through the body dust port to provide optimal dust management. The vacuum port enables direct connection of a dust extractor. Bevel cuts to 45 degrees right or left and positive stop at 90 degrees for solid cutting performance. Uses bayonet type blades (not included) and thick blades (up to 1.7mm thickness) can be attached. Onboard hex wrench for fast and easy blade changes and bevel adjustments.

Review: Good quality and reliable nice straight cuts I would recommend this Jig Saw - This is an excellent tool, my only issue it doesn’t come in a plastic carrying case just a cardboard box. I also didn’t realise you have to use an allen key to change the blade, however my last jig saw was a Bosch and it had a quick change push in mechanism that completely failed making it useless. Shame on Bosch, bravo Makita.

A: Yeah it swings back and forward as it cuts - you can adjust the amount or turn it off, it’s a good jigsaw

A: Just a cardboard box, not a proper plastic case if that's what you are looking for.

A: I never kept the box with the info but they are made in plants across the world from japan to the uk.

This is an excellent tool, my only issue it doesn’t come in a plastic carrying case just a cardboard box. I also didn’t realise you have to use an allen key to change the blade, however my last jig saw was a Bosch and it had a quick change push in mechanism that completely failed making it useless. Shame on Bosch, bravo Makita.
