However as this sword is intended for children, it would depend on who's carrying it. **Q: Is it a real sword** A: No, it is a plastic kids sword **Q: Is it wooded** A: No, it is not wood its plastic. I was very disappointed with this product, cheap looking, tacky and poor quality. Don't waste your money. **Q: Is the strap long enough to wear like a sash with the sword on one’s back?** A: No it is not. I purchased this for my son who was 8yrs at the time and the strsp is a short tacky piece of string. I wasn't very happy with the color which was a very dull rubbery grey rather than silver but a can of spray paint quickly fixed it.
