Review: Most awesome pegs in the world. Borderline hurricane style winds? No problem. - I can't describe how impressed I am with this, a humble, unsexy peg. I thought the 'storm force' part was just marketing. It's not. I will elaborate some more about their toughness in a moment. The peg itself is pretty straight forward; plastic, with a few choices of notches and depending upon the thickness of the item you are trying to put up, will determine what notch you use. They are made in one mould, so no pieces liable to rust staining your best white top! And hopefully less things to go wrong. But before I tell you how awesome they are, I will start with the downside. They do not spring back into shape quickly. Which means, if you've been pegging up something thick, when you un-peg the peg itself will not stay on the line because it's stretched, and then falls to the ground. It does go back to it's shape eventually – about 30 minutes I think. But if like me, you put pegs straight back on the line rather than in a storage thingymajig, they end up all over. To put back on the line you have to push down hardish onto the smallest notch and even then it can still fall off. This slowness to spring back into shape is the compromise between pegs that don't rust, can withstand high winds and price point. I take these storm force pegs! But, let me convey the awesomeness of these humble pegs. When I bought these, I was just looking for cheap pegs that didn't go mouldy or rusty like traditional wood ones. The 'storm force' part did register in my mind, but I just thought 'meh'. I was so wrong. I live right by the coast, on the west side of the UK. So, storms and prevailing winds are a daily part of life. In these parts anything under 20mph doesn't really raise an eyebrow. 20/25mph winds and we have a 'light breeze'. I've used these pegs during the stormiest parts of the year, late summer, autumn and early spring. To date I think we have had over twenty 50/60mph storms, with gusts reaching 90mph. My washing stayed on the line. A bit tangled up, but on the line none the less. This is how awesome these pegs are. I watched Neptune throw waves to colossal heights, and everything within half a mile radius of the coast being sandblasted, but my washing stayed on my line! Branches fell, bin lids blew off, coastline eroded, but my washing wasn't budging. Why do I leave my washing on the line whilst a storm is in progress? It dries my cloth super quick! Admittedly I did triple peg the heavier items, but it stayed on the line. And you really do have to push these pegs down to their smallest notch. But I am very impressed.
Review: Mega Pegs! - After many years of buying rubbish cheapo clothes pegs that discolour, go rusty, snap or fly off the washing line at random I decided to search desertcart and thought I'd give these a go! These Eco pegs are a one piece recycled plastic unit, so no springs, weak points or wood involved here. Many peg boffins have spent sleepless nights designing and testing these lemon and lime green blighters by the looks of things. They're great to use with a pretty strong grip indeed and so hold your whiter than whites, bath towels and lacy knickers securely even in a very stiff breeze! The lemon ones have a better grip than the green as they are slightly different due to two tiny pinchers where they peg onto the line. I would imagine these are for finer material to keep it held firmly and the green for thicker things like bath towels and such(see pic upload). I can see these lasting for years as they're virtually indestructible so a good investment! These superpegs are also British designed and manufactured, good show! Think I'll buy my sis some for her birthday, she'll love em! Highly recommended.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best pegs I’ve ever used
*by C***X on 24 April 2024*

These are the only pegs I’ve used that keep washing in place regardless of whether it’s thick jeans or a fine petticoat I first bought these in 2014 and have just bought my fifth bag to replace lost and worn out pegs so was a bit disappointed that for the first time there were several damaged pegs in the bag - I did manage to repair them with a pair of pliers but really they should be checked before being packaged.
